Description

Advanced hands on team cooking class fee is $150 per person.  Register online and pay your deposit of $50 per person for class upon registration. The balance of $100 will be paid by you with cash or check only the day of your class! 

Advanced Team cooking class/event details:

Theme:  Healthy Chicken Dishes

The Students are divided into competing teams. 

Each team is given money ($10 or so) to shop in the Asian Market for their ingredients. Shopping time is 25 minutes or less.

One whole chicken is provided by Chef Poon. After demonstration of same by Chef Poon, the teams use their knife skills to bone the chicken and make several dishes of their choice.

• Simple, healthy soup
• Healthy low fat salad
• One cold appetizer
• Healthy Stir Fry entrée (short, minute cooking)
• Healthy fresh fruit dessert (this is the sole chicken-free dish to be created)

Each team will be given a chance to use the commercial wok station to prepare their hot dishes. Burner/cooking equipment is available at each team table.

Judging and Evaluation is based on the following:

  • Knife skills                                                                                                 
  • How fresh you prepare the dishes/ freshness of ingredients                
  • Nutritional value                                                
  • Presentation
  • Food Taste
  • Time management in entire process

The team cooking activity is followed by lunch or dinner incorporating some of the dishes created by the student guests. We are BYOB.

Restrictions

Balance of $100 (after $50 deposit) due must be paid by cash or check only on day of event.
